CURRENT DESIGN CONFIGURATION

A standard energy module built around two parking bays

Factory-prefabricated structure and interfaces are deployed, locked and connected on site to reduce wet work and support future expansion.

Application Two bays
Deployed footprint ≈ 5.6 × 6m
Capacity 6.55kWp
Clearance ≈ 2.8m

Panel tilt adjustment: −10° to +10°; reference angle and configuration require project engineering confirmation.

FOLD · MOVE · DEPLOY

Rigid in operation, compact in transit

Folding is not a visual feature; it is a structural strategy for manufacturing, transport, installation and asset redeployment.

MEU CAPABILITIES

−10° to +10° adjustable tilt for site conditions

MEU panels support adjustment from −10° to +10°. Select an appropriate angle for local sunlight, orientation and shading to improve solar capture and generation performance.

Choose for the location

Use local solar conditions and installation orientation to assess a suitable tilt.

Respect site constraints

Account for shading, drainage, parking clearance and wind loads in structural verification.

Confirm through engineering

The reference angle, adjustment method, locking requirements and permitted adjustments follow formal engineering documents. This does not imply solar tracking or maximum output at every site.

BUILT FOR REAL SITES

Turn parking space into an operational energy node

Beyond solar generation and shelter, projects can evaluate charging, storage, lighting, security and information modules.

FOUNDATION INTERFACES

Four interface concepts for different sites

Foundation selection requires project-specific engineering around actual site conditions.

FI-02

Precast or embedded foundation

FI-03

FI-04

MEU ENERGY ARCHITECTURE

Three energy packages for different project boundaries

From grid-tied self-consumption and zero export to hybrid storage, every configuration requires site-specific engineering.

MEU-G · Grid-tied self-consumption

PV modules → grid inverter → AC distribution → user loads → grid supplement

For factories, parks and common-property loads

MEU-Z · Zero export

Adds smart meter, CTs, export control and power regulation; it remains grid-connected.

For commercial sites with export restrictions

MEU-H · Hybrid storage & backup

Adds hybrid inverter, battery, BMS, EMS and critical-load interfaces.

For backup, tariff management and microgrids

MEU CAPABILITIES

Monitor every canopy, from operation to returns

MEU software connects individual canopies and whole-station operating data to help you monitor generation, locate issues and track returns across distributed assets.

Canopy-to-station monitoring

Review station-wide operation, then inspect generation status and energy output for each canopy.

Issue location and mobile alerts

Locate the affected canopy and connected equipment and receive mobile alerts to support timely investigation and response.

Generation and estimated returns

Track generation and estimated returns per canopy and station using tariffs, self-consumption and exported energy.

Monitoring and alerts support earlier detection and response to help reduce electrical fault and fire risks. They do not replace electrical protection, fire safety or on-site maintenance, or guarantee zero risk.

Returns are estimates based on project data and tariffs, not settled income. Monitoring detail, update frequency, alert channels and delivery depend on connected equipment, connectivity and the agreed service configuration.

SAFETY · SERVICE LIFE

Address PV risk through separation and maintainability

PV is not inherently unsafe, and no solution can promise zero fire risk. Safety depends on design, equipment, installation, protection and lifecycle inspection.

DIMENSION Conventional canopy Factory rooftop PV MEU-2D
Structural safety

Independent fixed structure with a simple load path; wind, snow, foundation and impact still require verification.

Adds dead and wind loads to an existing roof; residual life, capacity, connections, waterproofing and corrosion must be verified.

Fire consequence boundary

Usually has no generation system and fewer electrical ignition sources; lighting or charging still needs protection.

The DC system is close to the roof, insulation and production space; consequences depend on roof materials, fire separation and work controls.

Inspection & response

Visible structural joints; maintenance focuses on fasteners, drainage, coating and foundations.

Height, roof access and limited space below modules can constrain inspection, isolation and replacement.

Service-life logic

Life is governed mainly by structure, corrosion protection, connections and maintenance.

In addition to PV equipment life, it is constrained by the building’s residual life, reroofing cycle and leak repairs.

01 Verify structure first

Wind, snow, seismic, ground, slab, clearance and vehicle impact enter formal structural design.

02 Make electrical faults isolatable

Use compatible modules, connectors, cables and protection, with grounding, lightning, overcurrent and DC fault protection.

03 Maintain throughout service

Inspect temperature, connectors, insulation, fasteners, coating, drainage and alarms; isolate faults promptly.

SAFETY BOUNDARY

0 kg/m² means the independent MEU foundation adds no load to the factory roof. 6.55kWp, at least one comprehensive electrical inspection per year and a 25-year structural working-life target are current configuration or design/O&M targets, not unconditional guarantees. Final values require qualified survey, calculations, exposure classification, equipment selection, local codes, acceptance and contract.

SITE RISK CONTROLS

Separate energy assets from production space and make issues visible earlier

Factory rooftop PV requires consideration of electrical safety, roof materials, hot work and fire-service access. MEU combines independent placement, canopy monitoring and operational procedures to help limit exposure of production areas, subject to project design, equipment and validation.

01Separation from production assets

Ground-supported placement, designed separation distances and clear access can help avoid continuous spread paths through walls or adjoining canopies. Vehicles, charging and storage still need separate assessment.

02Clear fault location

Map canopy IDs to monitored circuits and equipment to narrow investigations. Mobile alerts support notification; generation monitoring is not fire detection, and rooftop PV can use similar monitoring.

03A clear response process

Include notification delivery, acknowledgement, qualified investigation and safe isolation in operating procedures. Local isolation depends on electrical design; automatic suppression or fixed response times are not promised.

VALIDATE RESPONSE

At acceptance, record: fault onset → detection → mobile notification → acknowledgement → safe isolation or on-site response. Actual timing depends on sensing and protection, connectivity and staffing, and requires test evidence.

Public cases illustrate incident mechanisms, not industry incident rates or proof that MEU would prevent similar events. The current 6.55 kWp unit rating is not a fire-spread boundary or a maximum-loss limit.
